Public Service

The role of E-JUST in terms of public serving

E-JUST serves the local and regional societies in three principal ways. As educational institution, it provides excellent opportunities for both young people and adults to acquire the recent knowledge and sufficient skills they will need to navigate a rapidly-changing world as citizens, professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders. And as world class Center of Excellence for higher education and research with regional and global reach, it plays a leading role in creating the new knowledge that enables us to address more effectively society's most pressing needs. The third way in which E-JUST serves society is through direct engagement in efforts to meet the needs of the communities. At E-JUST, service to the community beyond the campus takes several forms:

    • Service Programs through which the University makes its educational, cultural and other resources available to community residents.

    • Direct investment by the University in community programs and projects aimed at addressing critical needs.

    • Engaged scholarship The involvement of E-JUST faculties and students in research that relates to community needs, and in the translation of research findings into programs and policy initiatives that directly address those needs.

  • Student Service Groups Opportunities to participate are also available through E-JUST student groups that are dedicated to community service of all types. These groups provide a wide variety of aid to communities here in Alexandria and across the globe.
