E-JUST is hosted at its first stage within the premises of City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications (CSAT) in New Borg El-Arab City in Alexandria. 

E-JUST campus will be located on 840,000 square meters ( 200 feddans) in the New Industrial City of Borg El-Arab, approximately 53 Km south-west of Alexandria, an area with growing educational facilities such as City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications (CSAT), as well as expansions of Alexandria University and Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in addition to futuristic potentials of 500,000 inhabitants, an international airport, and a rapid metro system linking to Alexandria.

 

 An International Architectural Competition was announced and started May 2009 and concluded December 2009 among Egyptian and Japanese architectural firms to compete over designing the university campus. The new campus will have creative design that will reflect the economic, social, and cultural values of both Egypt and Japan.

 

 

In August 2009, 12 finalists were selected from top architectural firms in Egypt and Japan among 75 participants. The 3 top winners were selected in December 2009 as: Arata Isozaki and Associates Co. LTD (First Prize), Hiroshi Hara ATELIER Kazuhiro Kojima / C A, Coelacanth and Associates (Second Prize), Fujimoto Architects (Third Prize).

 

 

The campus will represent state-of-the-art technologies of the 21st Century, while reflecting Egyptian and Japanese cultural values and identities. Intending to serve the university educational mission, while promoting interaction with the community at large.
