Library of Training Kits
Thanks to MTR program, the following kits are registered to Technology Department Common Library.
- Lab VIEW core 1,2 and 3 course kits (3 sets)
- Solid Works Video Tutorial Volumes 1-5 (3 sets)
In addition to this, MATLAB Tutorial CD, MATLABMastery CD and several Lab VIEW Course Kits will be registered shortly.
For the time being, these items are stored in Sakura Complex and will be provided for self-study of all programs. Maximum lending-period will be one month.
Common Workshop: Now Available
Thanks to the cooperation of MTR and IEsM programs, our common workshop is fully prepared and a cutting machine, drill press, lathe, milling machine, air compressor, and some other basic tools are now available at the ground floor, building #13.

The setup of Shimauzu GC-2014B gas chhromatograph with TCD detector has been compleated. The gas chromatograph is provided for use of all programs.

The 2nd batch procurement in 2011 under the technical cooperation of JICA - 22 August 2011 -
Technology Department calls for request of the submission of the equipment list for the 2nd batch procurement in 2011 under the technical cooperation of JICA. The delivery period will be from January to March 2012.
We need to ask your special cooperation in order for quick procurement. Please read carefully and kindly consider the points indicated in the document delivered by academics-list ML for your preparation of the equipment list.

Ariticifial Light Sources are Now Available - 11 July 2011 -
Shown below are articificial light sources suitable for development and durability test of novel photovoltaic cells, UV polymerization of resins, photocatalytic production of hydrogen, and various research on photoinduced processes. These are now availabe at the common alalysis center. To avoid possible harmful effect on your eyes, we will provide a short training cource for students without any experiences of using such equipment.

Common Manufacturing Equipment is Now Available - 30 June 2011 -
Tanks to the cooperation of the MTR and IEsM programs, some common processing instruments, such as a drill press, and a girnder, are now availabe at the ground floor (the adjoining flat of the already installed PCB prototyping machine), building #13. A Bench top milling machne, Lathe, and Compressor are also installed in the same flat and will be provided for use of all programs. Inverted Microscope is Now Available - 16 June 2011 -
The setup of Nikon Eclipse TE200-U inverted optical micrscope with a programable automatic XY stage has been compleated. The microscope is provided for use of all programs. You can download a PDF manual of the microscope from the following link.

To draw up a budget, we need your further cooperation regarding training curses for young academics, engineers, and technicians to make full use of equipment and softwares already installed into labs or now under procurement process.

Further training courses will be held just after the installation of advance research instruments, such as X-Ray Diffractiometer, Scanning Electron Microscope, Laser Confocal Microscope, Universal Testing Machine, and Laser Microfabrication System, etc.
Short Training Course of UV-Visible Spectrometer - 26 May 2011 -
A short training of UV-Visible spectrometer was held on Thursday 26 May.
At the beginning of the training, Prof. Ichimura gave us a lecture on the principle of photoabsorption and emission processes. Following the lecture, data analysis with a standard sample was demonstrated.
Training of High Performance Liquid Chromatograph - 24 May 2011 -
A series of training on High Performance Liquid Chromatograph was held on 23 and 24 May.
Lecturer on operation principle, key operation, and basic user maintenance was made by an engineer from the distributer. Qualitative & quantitative data analysis with standard samples was demonstrated.
Soft Opening of Common Analysis Center
The following common analysis equipment has been installed on the 1st Floor, Materials Science Building/MuCSAT thanks to generous understanding of Prof. Khairy and cooperation from Dr. Moneim.
The equipment will be provided for use of all programs.
