Faculty of International Business Entrance Exams

Students are required to pass successfully an entrance examination that focuses on the students’ academic background in the related program and on their analytical abilities.

Entrance exam will include two parts, one hour each. The first part is a general graduate examination and the second is a technical examination.

The first part is general Exam:

  1. AIS:

The General/Subject exam will focus on the basics and recent trends in accounting in general and on the basics and recent trends in the specialized accounting area (accounting information systems, management accounting, financial accounting, auditing, etc.) and will examine the applicant’s awareness of those basics and trends.

A Student should pass successfully all entrance examinations and interviews before his/her admission to the program.

  1. HRM:

The General/Subject exam will focus on the basics and recent trends in Business Administration in general and on the basics and recent trends in the specialized HRM area (HRM practices, IHRM, E-HRM, etc.) and will examine the applicant’s awareness of those basics and trends.

A Student should pass successfully all entrance examinations and interviews before his/her admission to the program.

  1. Investment and Finance:

The General/Subject exam will focus on the basics and recent trends in Business Administration in general and on the basics and recent trends in the specialized investment and finance area and will examine the applicant’s awareness of those basics and trends.

  1. Management and Organizational Behavior (MGT)

The General/Subject exam will focus on the basics and recent trends in Business Administration in general and on the basics and recent trends in the specialized Management and Organizational Behavior area (Management theory, Decision making, Organizational behavior, etc.) and will examine the applicant’s awareness of those basics and trends.

A Student should pass successfully all entrance examinations and interviews before his/her admission to the program.

  1. Marketing and International Business Studies

The General/Subject exam will focus on the basics and recent trends in Business Administration in general and on the basics and recent trends in the specialized marketing and international business area and will examine the applicant’s awareness of those basics and trends.

The second part (Subject Exam):

The technical examination part (one-hour exam) assess the student's basic scientific background in the following specialization for each department as follows:

  1. AIS Entrance Exam:

A Student should pass successfully all entrance examinations and interviews before his/her admission to the program.

For M.Sc. Applicant:

  • General accounting written exam: (30% of total grade).

will cover the basics of accounting in general (one hour)

  • Specialized accounting written exam: (30% of total grade)

 will cover the area of specialization (one hour).

  • Interview: (40% of total grade)

will focus on the applicant’s communication and presentation skills in addition to his/her knowledge in the area of specialization and research ability.

The applicant will give a presentation for 15 minutes using PPT for his/her research proposal.

For PhD Applicant:

  • General accounting written exam (25% of total grade)

 will cover the basics of accounting in general (one hour).

  • Specialized accounting written exam (25% of total grade)

 will cover the area of specialization (one hour).

  • Interview (50% of total grade)

 will focus on the applicant’s communication and presentation skills in addition to his/her knowledge in the area of specialization and research ability.

The applicant will give a presentation for 15 minutes using PPT for his/her research proposal.

Based on the student’s credentials and performance in the admission exams and interview the admission committee might require the student to take some deficiency courses that should be taken before starting the program.
