For M.Sc. Applicant:
The Archaeological Excavation major is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have a bachelor’s degree or academic diploma as follows:
• A bachelor's degree in Archaeological Excavation or Field Archaeology with at least a “good” grade from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Academic diploma in Archaeological Excavation or Field Archaeology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.
The master of Archaeological Excavation major also accepts students who have a bachelor’s degree or academic master's degree from the following academic background in Egypt and outside of Egypt, but they must obtain complementary courses (AE 401, AE 402, AE 403) of 6 credit hours (3 courses × 2 credit hours).
• The faculties of Archaeology or the equivalent higher institute of archaeology and their departments (Egyptology, Islamic Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology, Coptic Archaeology, Conservation, Museum and Archaeological Site Management).
• Departments of Archaeology in the faculty of Arts or in different faculties.
• Anthropology / Folklore / Ethnology / Museology (Museum Management)/ History / Art History / Heritage Site Management / Cultural Heritage Studies / Area Studies / Education from different faculties.
• Equivalent degrees in Archaeology from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees in Heritage Science from different faculties from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities
• Degrees in Engineering / Sciences from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or equivalent degrees in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees of Arts, Fine Arts, and Applied Arts from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees in Tourism, Tourist Guidance, Hotel Management, or Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degree of Science in Art and Design from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
For PhD Applicant:
The Archaeological Excavation major at the Ph.D. program of Heritage Science is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have academic Master's or academic Ph.D. degrees in Archaeological Excavation, Heritage Science (Archaeological Excavation), Field Archaeology, and any academic Master's or Ph.D. degrees related to archaeological excavation.
For M.Sc. Applicant:
To register for the master’s degree program in Heritage Conservation Science major, a Bachelor degree in the conservation field or conservation science with at least a “good” grade should be obtained. Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Physics and Biology) or Engineering (Structure, Architecture) should, in addition, have academic diploma certificate in the field of conservation or conservation science.
The master’s degree program of the Heritage Conservation Science major also accepts as candidates:
those who have any academic diploma in the field of conservation or conservation science from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the fields related to conservation science, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.
For PhD Applicant:
In the Heritage Conservation Science major, the Ph.D. program is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have academic Master’s, or academic Ph.D. degrees in Conservation Science, Heritage Science (Heritage Conservation Science), or any academic Master’s or Ph.D. degrees related to conservation science.
For M.Sc. Applicant:
In the Museum Management major, the master's program of Heritage Science is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have:
• A bachelor’s degree in museum management or museum studies/Museology with at least a “good” grade from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Academic diploma in Museum Management or Museum Studies/Museology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.
The major of the Museum Management also accepts students who have a Bachelor’s degree or academic Master’s degree from the following academic background in Egypt and outside of Egypt, but they must obtain complementary courses (MM 401, MM 402, MM 403) of six credit hours (3 courses × 2 credit hours) .
• The faculties of archaeology or the equivalent higher institute of archaeology and their departments (Egyptology, Islamic Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology, Coptic Archaeology, Conservation, Archaeology and Excavation).
• Departments of Archaeology in the faculties of Arts.
• Anthropology/Folklore/Ethnology/Ethnography/Linguistic from different faculties.
• Degrees in archaeology from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees of Arts, Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Education, Art Education, and specific Education (Art Education Department) from Egyptian universities or higher institutes in Egypt, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Heritage Science from different faculties from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities
• Degrees of Arts in Library / Archives and Record Management / Information Technology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• Degrees in Tourism, Tourist Guidance, Hotel Management, or Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Marketing, Finance, Accounting and Information Technology/System)/Human Resource Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Economics, Laws or Agricultural Sciences from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Engineering / Sciences from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• Degrees of Science in Art and Design from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
For PhD Applicant:
In the Museum Management Major, the Ph.D. program of Heritage Science is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have academic Master's or academic Ph.D. degrees in Museum Management, Heritage Science (Museum Management), Museum Studies/Museology, and any academic Master's or Ph.D. degrees related to museums.
For M.Sc. Applicant:
The Cultural Heritage Studies major is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have a Bachelor degree or academic diploma as follows:
• A bachelor's degree in Cultural Heritage Studies with at least a “good” grade from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Academic diploma in Cultural Heritage Studies from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.
The major of the Cultural Heritage Studies also accepts students who have a bachelor’s or academic Master’s degrees from the following academic background in Egypt and outside of Egypt, but they must obtain complementary courses (CH 401, CH 402, CH 403) of six credit hours (3 courses × 2 credit hours).
• Faculties of Arts and/or Humanities, or the equivalent higher institute of arts and humanities.
• Anthropology/Folklore/Ethnology/Ethnography/Linguistic/Sociology from different faculties.
• (World)Heritage Studies / Archaeology / Geography / Area Studies in the MENA region from different faculties.
• The faculties of Archaeology or the equivalent higher institute of archaeology and their departments (Egyptology, Islamic Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology, Coptic Archaeology, Conservation, Archaeology and Excavation, Museum and Archaeological Site Management).
• Degrees in Heritage Science from different faculties from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities
