Applied Physics Program

Overview

The study of the applied physics program is four years in duration. The first two years provide a strong foundation in basic science and applied Physics in general while, the third and the fourth years of study provide core material in Nano-electronics as special subject of applied Physics. In the applied Physics program students can obtain a bachelor’s degree in applied physics. Applied physics matches very well with the national and international needs that emphasize the importance of applied physics for society needs.

Mission

The mission of the applied Physics (PHY) program is to offer excellent university-level educational program in the field of applied Physics. And to contribute to the development of knowledge and innovation-based economy, as well as. The program is connected with innovative teaching techniques, thus providing a creative and stimulating environment for the education of future generations of physicists.

Vision

The vision of the applied Physics program is to bridge the gap between fundamental scientific principles and real-world technological innovation. It equips students with a deep understanding of physics alongside the engineering skills necessary to translate scientific discoveries into practical devices and solutions. Graduates are prepared to tackle complex challenges in diverse fields such as sustainable energy, advanced materials, quantum technologies, medical imaging, and microelectronics, driving progress and shaping the future of technology and society.

General Outcomes
  • To be able to understand the basic and impact of applied physics in a broader societal and global context
  • To acquire a pragmatic balance between fundamental and applied aspects of physics.
  • To achieve a strong emphasis on problem-solving skills making graduates highly desirable as employees in academia, research and industry.
  • To obtain outstanding links with industry for collaborative research and employment using knowledge of applied Physics.
