Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), welcomed on Tuesday August 5th, a high-level delegation from Abu Qir Fertilizers Company, led by Eng. Hani Dahi, Chairman and CEO of the company. The visit aimed to explore potential avenues of collaboration in industrial and research domains, particularly in clean energy and green hydrogen. The delegation was received by Prof. Sameh Nada, Vice President of Education and Academic Affairs; Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din, Dean of Faculty of Energy Resources, Environment, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering; Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Moneim, Dean of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences; along with other deans and faculty members. During the visit, the delegation attended a comprehensive presentation about the university's vision, academic programs, and research focus, especially its capacity to support industry through sustainable energy projects and green hydrogen applications, which offer promising solutions for reducing carbon emissions in the future. E-JUST stands as a flagship outcome of the strategic partnership between Egypt and Japan, embodying a unique fusion of Japanese educational excellence and discipline with Egypt’s vision for development. This collaboration between the two nations reflects a shared commitment to nurturing a generation of innovative and globally competitive leaders. Eng. Hani Dahi expressed his admiration for the university’s scientific and technological capabilities, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in areas such as clean energy, green hydrogen, and sustainable technologies, all of which contribute to the advancement of Egypt’s industrial sector. The visit also included a campus tour of key facilities at E-JUST’s Center of Excellence for Scientific Research, including the Graphene Lab, Chemistry and Energy Workshops, as well as the university’s main library, The delegation was impressed by the cutting-edge infrastructure supporting advanced research and innovation. This visit aligns with E-JUST’s strategic goal to bridge academic research with national industry, reinforcing its role in preparing qualified professionals to lead the transition toward a green economy in line with Egypt’s sustainable development goals.
