The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) proudly launched the 5th International Conference on Chemical, Energy and Environmental Engineering (ICCEEE), took place at its Main campus. This event brings together researchers, academics, and industry leaders to exchange cutting-edge developments in energy, chemical processes, environmental innovation, and sustainable engineering solutions. The conference opened with a distinguished ceremony attended by key figures from academia and industry. Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din Dean of school of energy resources, environmental, and chemical and Petro chemical engineering at E-JUST and the Chairperson of the Conference, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the university’s collaboration with JICA and recent innovations in sustainable hydrogen technologies. She presented updates on the “Development and Innovation of Sustainable Technologies for Hydrogen Production and Storage” project, emphasizing environmental assessment for industrial applications. Speaking at the opening were Prof. Amr Adly, President of E-JUST, who welcomed participants and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to advancing science and sustainability through global collaboration; Eng. Mahmoud Nafea, Chairman of Alexandria Sanitation Company, and Eng. Hesham Reyad, Chairman of ATHEDCO, both of whom emphasized the importance of industry-academia partnerships in solving real-world environmental challenges. The conference’s first day featured engaging sessions on thermal storage, hydrogen innovation, diamond materials for sustainable energy, and cutting-edge research in fluid mechanics, oil refining, CFD applications, and solar-wind integration technologies. International speakers included Prof. Takashi Asawa from the Institute of Science Tokyo and Prof. Abdelrahman zakaria from Kyushu University, Japan. Participants also explored a dedicated exhibition area and attended parallel sessions across multiple disciplines in chemical and energy engineering. The opening concluded with a group photo and networking opportunities for attendees.
