The School of Energy Resources, Environmental, Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering (EECE), in cooperation with Birla Carbon Egypt, launched the competition titled "towards sustainable future" for EECE graduate and undergraduate students. The competition aimed at enhancing innovation at EECE students in the field of sustainability through research article. The research articles evaluation process included the following: • Environmental impacts and ecosystems. • Effect on society. • Feasibility of the project. • Project's economy. 18 Graduate (M.Sc. – Ph.D.) and undergraduate students participated in the competition presenting 11 research articles covering the sustainable development issues. The final ceremony was held on Tuesday 8-6-2021 at E-JUST HQ theater, coinciding the celebration of world environment day where the candidates presented their research articles and received the prizes provided by Birla Carbon Egypt as follows: The first prize: Eng. Mahmoud Samy (Ph.D) shared with Eng. Mahmoud Omar (Ph.D). The second prize: Eng. Lucienne Gamal (Ph.D) shared with Eng. Mohamed Rabie (Ph.D) and Eng. Asmaa Adel (Ph.D). The third prize: Eng. Kenneth Mensah (M.Sc) shared with Ms. Rania Sameh, Ms. Nouran Mohamed, Mr. Zaher Kara, Mr. Mohamed Metwally, Mr. Mahmoud Raafat, and Mr. Abdelrahman Mohamed (UG).
