  • {Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din Ibrahim participated in the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27)}

    {Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din Ibrahim - Dean of the school of Energy Resources, Environmental, and Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering (EECE), Egypt -Japanese University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), participated in the 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27), which held in Sharm El-Sheikh from 6 to 18 November 2022. Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din, has been invited by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to participate in the Japan State Pavilion, and held a seminar entitled "E-JUST Role in Raising Awareness, Building Knowledge Of Hydrogen Energy, and Actions to Tackle Climate Change" on Friday, 11/11/2022 (Decarbonization Day), through which she talked about the EECE's capabilities to produce hydrogen as a clean energy, in addition to the activities carried out by the university to raise awareness and tackle climate change. The seminar is moderated by Mr. KATO Ken, Chief Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Egypt Office. JICA organized this side event under the title “Green Hydrogen Energy Development: Towards a Hydrogen Based Society” shedding light on the following: - JICA’s cooperation for climate change and capacity development for promotion of hydrogen energy use. - Egyptian government recent developments related to Green Hydrogen Energy. - Recent development of Hydrogen energy in Japan. - Perspectives of Japanese Private Sector for the development of hydrogen energy infrastructure. - The role of Higher Education institutes like E-JUST in raising awareness and building knowledge. The seminar was attended by Eng. Tarek El-Nabarawy - Head of the Engineers Syndicate, Eng. Ahmed Darwish - Head of environment committee, Engineers Syndicate, and representatives from the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and attendees with different nationalities.}
