Position Overview:

The University is currently accepting applications for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Art & Design, encompassing the disciplines of Industrial Product Design, Interior Design, Digital Media, and Arts in Creative Industries.

We are seeking a visionary academic leader with a strong background in Art & Design education and research. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to lead dynamic academic teams, foster research innovation, and build meaningful partnerships within the creative industries and the wider community.

Qualifications and skills requirements:

• The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Applied/Fine Arts of Digital Media / Arts in Creative Industries/Digital media /interior design/ industrial product design or a closely related field and hold the academic rank of Full Professor.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience in higher education.
• A strong record of academic research, publications, and professional development
• Excellent communication, strategic planning, and team management skills

Summary of Job duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee the effective and efficient daily operations of the faculty
• Plan and lead educational and research initiatives across departments
• Supervise and coordinate curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Enhance the faculty’s research and educational capabilities
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among departments
• Direct, evaluate, and motivate academic and administrative staff
• Support the growth and sustainability of faculty facilities and resources
• Represent the faculty within the university administration and the outsiders
