Position Overview
The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the following academic programs and disciplines:
Open Positions and Required Qualifications
- Energy Materials
Focus Area: Renewable Energy and related fields.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Physics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate physics courses.
- Geological Remote Sensing
Focus Area: Space Environment and Remote Sensing.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Geological Remote Sensing or a related field (e.g., Remote Sensing and GIS, Earth Observation, Geoinformatics, Environmental Geoscience).
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Space Environment and Remote Sensing.
- Biotechnology
Focus Areas: Bioinformatics, Molecular Immunology, Plant or Animal Biotechnology, Stem Cell Research.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology or related Biomedical Sciences (Molecular Biology, Genetics) from an internationally accredited university recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in relevant subjects.
- Organic Chemistry
Focus Area: Organic Chemistry and its applications in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related field (e.g., Nanoscience, Materials Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology).
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in relevant subjects.
- Mathematical Statistics
Focus Area: Applied and Computational Mathematics with a specialization in Mathematical Statistics.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics or a closely related field (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computational Mathematics, Probability Theory).
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematical statistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Supervise M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
- Develop and continuously improve curriculum and academic programs.
- Seek and manage external research funding.
- Participate in academic advising, admission, and administrative duties.
- Engage with industry and contribute to community-based projects.
General Qualifications
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.(as listed above).
- Strong record of research, scholarly publications, and grant acquisition.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student supervision.
- Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and academic service.
