Position Overview:

• The University is currently accepting applications for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology. We are seeking a visionary academic leader with a solid background in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Networks, Cyber Security, and Bioinformatics education and research to guide the faculty in achieving excellence in academic programs, research innovation, and community engagement.

Qualifications and skills requirements:

• The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Networks, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field, and must hold the academic rank of Full Professor.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience in higher education.
• A strong record of academic research, publications, and professional development
• Excellent communication, strategic planning, and team management skills

Summary of Job duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee the effective and efficient daily operations of the faculty
• Plan and lead educational and research initiatives across departments
• Supervise and coordinate curriculum development at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Enhance the faculty’s research and educational capabilities
• Ensure effective communication and coordination among departments
• Direct, evaluate, and motivate academic and administrative staff
• Support the growth and sustainability of faculty facilities and resources
• Represent the faculty within the university administration and the outsiders
