Qualifications and skills requirements:

  • PhD degree in mechanical power engineering or a related field
  • Has more than 3 years academic and professional experience since obtaining his/her PhD.
  • Have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills and be willing to integrate within the current research labs of the department.
  • All candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and a promising research record are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with other engineering schools at E-JUST.

Role Expectations:

  • Produce high-quality research output with active collaboration with staff as well as supervision of MSc/PhD students.
  • Apply for research grants targeting pressing real-world problems.
  • Establish strong ties with Japanese counterpart professors.
  • Contribute to the community at large through technology transfer activities such as filing patents and startup consultations.
  • Contribute to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. This includes introducing the state-of-the-art in the field as well as linking research with education.
  • Adhere to high-quality teaching processes and activities.
