Job Title: Mechanical Vibrations Lab Specialist

Job Summary

1. It is expected to have a talented candidate for dealing with all the mechanical vibration devices and equipment in the lab such as the universal vibration system (pendulum, mass-spring, oscillation bar), whirling shaft apparatus, machinery diagnostic system, and impact test apparatus.
2. Manages and directs the mechanical vibrations lab activities for Innovative Design Engineering School particularly for Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering department and Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering department. Performs supervisory functions as established by management for this job.
3. Schedule the mechanical vibration training sessions in coordination with the Laboratory supervisor.
4. Coordinates with the Mechatronics and Robotics department professors regarding their course and graduation projects intended for students and to ensure that all planned task requirements are met. This also includes the preparation of appropriate work

areas for students, setting up suitable equipment, materials, and procedures for performing experiments, and getting readings using different systems for data acquisition.

5. Follow the manual instructions regarding maintenance and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning during service time.
6. Participate with faculty members, carrying out lab tutorials, teaching, and instructing the undergraduate students.
7. Coordinates with faculty members to prepare orders for updating equipment and accessories to meet educational and research requirements.
8. Participate in implementing experiments in coordination with faculty members for their research activities.
9. Contribute to the formulation and modification of administrative and technical procedures adopted in the laboratories and ensure such procedures are being followed.
10. Perform other administrative duties such as maintaining and updating the database of equipment catalogs, manuals, protocols of experiments, ensuring observance by subordinates of health and safety regulations and the
    practice of good housekeeping, and salvaging tools and materials where possible.
11. Prepare needed data for creating and improving the Lab website and participate in the preparation of the lab annual report and assessment of student experiments.

Job Requirement & Skills:

1. Sc. degree in Production/ Mechanical Design/ Mechatronics Engineering or related majors.
2. Good level of English language reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
3. Ability to understand the fundamentals of mechanical vibrations and operate the testing apparatuses.
4. Understanding the specifications of the delivered tasks at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and catalogues.
5. Ability to use at least one CAD software such as Solid Works, Solid Edge, CorelDraw, AutoCAD, one FEA software such as ANSYS and Abaqus, one multi-body dynamics

6. simulation software such as MSC ADAMS, Simulink, and one control and data acquisition such as LabVIEW.

7. Have a good experience in the maintenance of machinery and relevant vibration devices for at least 2 years in the industry.
8. With good organization and administration skills, able to make good decisions, have a strong eye for details, and can prioritize a busy workload to meet deadlines.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. No more than 27 years old.
