Applicants Qualifications

• The applicant must hold Palestinian nationality.

• It is preferable that the applicant is a Palestinian who was living in the Gaza Strip as of October 2023 and could not continue study at university/college or could not go on university/college due to the current situation.

• The candidate is willing to contribute to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip after graduation.

• Applicants are not to be serving in the military

Educational Background and Records

For Faculty of Engineering (FOE) Programs

• FOE M.Sc. applicants: should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a GPA of at least 2.5 (Grade C+) or a percentage record of ≥ 75% or equivalent to the mentioned before.

For Basic and Applied Sciences (BAS) Programs

• BAS M.Sc. applicants: should hold a bachelor’s degree in science in the field of specialization with a GPA of at least 2.5 (Grade C+) or a percentage record of ≥ 75% or equivalent to the mentioned before.

For Faculty of International Business and Humanities (FIBH) Programs

• FIBH M.Sc. applicants: should have a bachelor’s degree in the field of specialization with a GPA of at least 2.5 (Grade C+) or a percentage record of ≥ 75% or equivalent to the mentioned before

For Heritage Science Programs

• HS M.Sc. applicants: should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in the field of specialization with at least a “good” grade or with a GPA of at least 2.5 (Grade C+) or academic diploma in the field of specialization.

The student’s academic background should match the academic requirements of the program he/she is applying for (Please refer to academic background tables).

Language (English) Proficiency

Full-Time Students:

• TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 79, or
• Academic IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5.
• The language certificate must be valid at the time of application submission.

Exemptions:

• Applicants whose native language is English are not required (exempted) to submit official evidence of English language proficiency. (This includes applicants from countries where English is an official language.)

Provisionally Accepted Students:

• Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 125.

The language certificate must be valid at the time of application submission.

Or

• Submit an English proficiency declaration letter from the applicant’s home university, confirming that English was the medium of instruction during undergraduate studies, and pass an online English proficiency interview conducted by E-JUST

Provisionally accepted students must register for an English language course as part of the preparatory courses. They must meet the minimum language requirement (TOEFL iBT 79 or Academic IELTS 6.5) within one year of enrollment otherwise their enrollment will be terminated.

Admission Examination- Personal and Academic Interview

Applicants must pass successfully the personal and academic interview

Equivalency Certificate and Security Clearance

According to the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education regulations for accepting foreign students (Non-Egyptian), the student must acquire the following:

• Equivalency Certificate from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities (SCU).
• Security clearance from Ministry of Interior Affairs.

E-JUST applies on behalf of the applicants who pass successfully the admission interview and oral examination for the equivalency certificate and security clearance. However, failing to acquire any of the said documents, will lead to termination of the application.

Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Mechatronics and Robotics, Computers and Automatic control, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering and Mechanical Design, Automotive engineering. Students are expected to have good knowledge of Control Engineering, Electronics and Programming.

Industrial Engineering and Systems Management (IME)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical Design Engineering.

Industrial Engineering and Systems Management (IME)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Metallurgy, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, other related Engineering discipline

Energy Resources Engineering (ERE)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Mechanical Power Engineering, Energy Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and other related disciplines

Environmental Engineering (ENV)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Chemical, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Civil, Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, and other related disciplines.

Chemicals and Petrochemicals Engineering (CPE)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy, any other related disciplines.

Electrical Power Engineering (EPE)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Electrical Power Engineering.

• Science background or equivalent in the field of specialization in: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biological Sciences include botany, zoology, entomology, and agriculture, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioinformatics ((Science or Computer Science)

Applied and Computational Mathematics (ACM)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Science background with specialization in Mathematics, Engineering with a Mathematics background, or other related fields

Energy Materials (EMA)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Science background with specialization in: Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Biophysics, Other related fields

Space Environment (SEN)

The students’ academic background should be:

• Science, Graduates holding BSc from any Faculty/ Institute in one of the following fields of specialization: Physics, Mathematical Physics, Space Science, Astrophysics, Astronomy, Navigation Science, Space Technology, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing

HS Program Major

Academic Background

Archaeological Excavation (AE)

The Archaeological Excavation major is designed to accept students who have a bachelor’s degree or academic diploma as follows:

• A bachelor's degree in Archaeological Excavation or Field Archaeology with at least a “good” grade from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.

• Academic diploma in Archaeological Excavation or Field Archaeology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.

The master of Archaeological Excavation major also accepts students who have a bachelor’s degree or academic master's degree from the following academic background in Egypt and outside of Egypt, but they must obtain complementary courses (AE 401, AE 402, AE 403) of 6 credit hours (3 courses × 2 credit hours).

• The faculties of Archaeology or the equivalent higher institute of archaeology and their departments (Egyptology, Islamic Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology, Coptic Archaeology, Conservation, Museum and Archaeological Site Management).
• Departments of Archaeology in the faculty of Arts or in different faculties.
• Anthropology / Folklore / Ethnology / Museology (Museum Management)/ History / Art History / Heritage Site Management / Cultural Heritage Studies / Area Studies / Education from different faculties.
• Equivalent degrees in Archaeology from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees in Heritage Science from different faculties from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• Degrees in Engineering / Sciences from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or equivalent degrees in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees of Arts, Fine Arts, and Applied Arts from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees in Tourism, Tourist Guidance, Hotel Management, or Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.

Degree of Science in Art and Design from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.

Heritage Conservation Science(HCS)

To register for the master’s degree program in Heritage Conservation Science major, a bachelor’s degree in the conservation field or conservation science with at least a “good” grade should be obtained. Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry, Physics and Biology) or Engineering (Structure, Architecture) should, in addition, have academic diploma certificate in the field of conservation or conservation science.

• The master’s degree program of the Heritage Conservation Science major also accepts as candidates those who have any academic diploma in the field of conservation or conservation science from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the fields related to conservation science, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.

Museum Management(MM)

In the Museum Management major, the master's program of Heritage Science is designed to accept national, regional and international students who have:

• A bachelor’s degree in museum management or museum studies/Museology with at least a “good” grade from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Academic diploma in Museum Management or Museum Studies/Museology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or from outside of Egypt in the field referred to, or an equivalent qualification from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• The major of the Museum Management also accepts students who have a Bachelor’s degree or academic Master’s degree from the following academic background in Egypt and outside of Egypt, but they must obtain complementary courses (MM 401, MM 402, MM 403) of six credit hours (3 courses × 2 credit hours) .
• The faculties of archaeology or the equivalent higher institute of archaeology and their departments (Egyptology, Islamic Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology, Coptic Archaeology, Conservation, Archaeology and Excavation).
• Departments of Archaeology in the faculties of Arts.
• Anthropology/Folklore/Ethnology/Ethnography/Linguistic from different faculties.
• Degrees in archaeology from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
• Degrees of Arts, Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Education, Art Education, and specific Education (Art Education Department) from Egyptian universities or higher institutes in Egypt, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Heritage Science from different faculties from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities
• Degrees of Arts in Library / Archives and Record Management / Information Technology from Egyptian universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• Degrees in Tourism, Tourist Guidance, Hotel Management, or Tourism, Hospitality and Heritage Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Marketing, Finance, Accounting and Information Technology/System)/Human Resource Management from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have equivalent degrees from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Economics, Laws or Agricultural Sciences from Egyptian universities and higher institutes, or who have an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt in these disciplines.
• Degrees in Engineering / Sciences from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree in Engineering / Sciences from the Supreme Council of Universities.
• Degrees of Science in Art and Design from Egyptian Universities or higher institutes, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
